A rare, graphic-style design from Danish firm Hans Hansen. This piece was mostly likely conceived of by famed designer Bent Gabrielsen who also created many pieces for Georg Jensen. The chain playful hooks through the apple's "stem". The pendant is comprised of sterling silver and 14k gold.
Hans Hansen first established his studio in 1906 and would become one of the Denmark's leading silversmiths. Beginning in the 1950s and through the 70s, designers Bent Gabrielsen and Gustav Hansen, grandson of the founder, explored forward-thinking designs within the company's tradition of craftsmanship. Designs from this time have become some of the most celebrated in Scandinavian modern jewelry.
