A lovely necklace from Finnish firm Kaunis Koru. Designed by Heikki Kaksonen and executed in 14k gold, this playful geometric pendant is accented by two rounded spectrolite stones. Native to Finland, Spectrolite, which is similar to labradorite, has a beautiful light blue opalescence and a deep blue hue. It is in remarkable condition despite its 46 years of age.
Founded in 1956, Kaunis Koru employed some of Finland's best contemporary designers, including a young Björn Weckström and Pekka Piekainen, and produced bold and modern jewelry that is very much sought after today.
