An exceptional necklace designed by Marianne Berg from Uni-David Andersen's studio in Norway. Made in the mid-1960s, Berg's design epitomizes the new direction of Norwegian jewelry of this time. It combines sculptural and geometric elements for an elegant result. Facetted local rock crystals are beautifully incorporated into the piece. It is a rare necklace by the designer.
Berg joined the workshop of David-Andersen under the leadership of Andersen's grand-daughter, Uni Andersen. In the 1960s, Uni and her team of woman designers were pushing boundaries with their technical innovations and original designs.
